    Construction Electricians
    Positions available in Brisbane metropolitan, Mackay and regional QLD on a project specific basis.

  • Experience in mining (coal, ore etc) or heavy industries (ports or terminals)

    • Control Systems Engineers - Brisbane, Newcastle, Mackay
    We are seeking highly professional Control Systems Engineers preferably with an electrical engineering degree or equivalent. Key skills include project management, PLC / SCADA / DCS / Telemetry software programming, instrumentation, systems testing & commissioning, communications & network experience.

    Testing Officer
    To fill this important role, you will:-

    • Have an Electrical trade background (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic);
    • Be experienced in electrical equipment testing, e.g. protection relays, resistance testing, insulation resistance testing, transformer testing and functional testing;
    • Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings;
    • Possess the ability to work independently and also have good interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse group of people;
    • Have a high level of attention to detail; and
    • Ideally have undertaken further studies towards an advanced electrical diploma which would be an advantage.

    Overtime and occasional site visits will be required. We offer very good rates and excellent working conditions. The position is available for immediate placement.

    Design Draftsperson
    We have available a position for a Design Draftsperson to join our Switchgear team. The role will specialise in custom switchboard design so persons with electrical trade qualifications would be ideally suited.

    • have around 3 years AutoCAD experience;
    • excellent computer skills;

    MV / HV Design Engineer
    We have available a position for an Electrical Engineering degree qualified person to join our Switchgear team in the role of MV/HV Design Engineer, reporting to the Manager - MV/HV.

    You will be required to perform engineering design for high and medium voltage switchgear customer contracts, including:-

    • Working as part of a team on large turnkey projects providing engineering design;
    • Responsibility for the development and supervision of others for the production of AC and DC control circuitry;
    • A lead role in the control and quality of FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing);
    • Responsibility for understanding technical specifications;
    • Managing costs within budget and delivery schedules;
    • Preparation of manufacturing documentation; and
    • Liaison with customers, workshop manager and personnel.

    Electrical Engineer / Designer
    We have available a position for an Electrical Engineer / Designer to join our Mining Switchgear team, reporting to the Manager - Mining.

    This position will have exposure to a variety of custom switchgear design projects with a focus on the mining industry. As a guide, 5-7 years industry experience and a sound knowledge of current Australian Standards will be essential to the success of this role.

    The position will have responsibility and accountability for providing custom substation and switchboard design for customer contracts.

    You will be required to:-

    • Work as part of a team on large turnkey projects providing engineering design within skills sets and competencies;
    • Understand the technical specification of the work assigned;
    • Manage costs within budget and delivery schedules;
    • Be innovative in providing technical solutions;
    • Train and assist new and existing personnel; and
    • Keep abreast of new technologies

    While the position is predominantly Brisbane based, intermittent job related travel within Australia will be required on a project by project basis for the purpose of site inspections and job control.
