Navigation lights are a mandatory requirement for various vessels, and must be shown between sunset and sunrise, and during times of restricted visibility.
Navigation lights indicate:
- the size of the boat
- the angle where you see them
- the direction the boat is travelling
- if the boat is underway or anchored
Light types may include side and stern, masthead mount, towing lights, anchor lights, signalling lights as well as deck and spreader style lights. Lights may be manufactured to suit a variety of vessel types and applications, including attractive and streamlined models for leisure vessels 0-50m+, dimmable lights for navy, or robust models for commercial use.
